• Incremental Indexing  ZipOut uses incremental indexing, which means that only changed folders and items are examined during the indexing process. This important new feature results in much faster indexing after the initial index has been built. It also allows the addition of new stores to the indexing database without requiring a complete rebuild of the index. After the initial index, indexing duration is typically 5-10% of the time required in previous versions of ZipOut. Outlook does not have to be open when ZipOut runs a scheduled compression or indexing task. ZipOut Server ensures that mailbox compression and indexing always occur at a regular interval defined by your Exchange administrator.
• Improved Compression Speed  ZipOut uses a new engine that compresses attachments in approximately 70% of the time required in previous versions. Actual compression speed depends upon processor speed and available memory.
• Uses Scheduled Tasks  ZipOut now uses the Windows Task Scheduler to create scheduled tasks for attachment compression and indexing. The Scheduled Tasks dialog box shows you all ZipOut scheduled tasks and lets you modify folder, store, and task settings. ZipOut scheduled tasks provide more robust and configurable indexing and compression compared to previous versions of ZipOut.

• Web Updates You can click the Check for ZipOut Updates command on the ZipOut Toolbar or the ZipOut Shortcut menu to check your installed version of ZipOut against the latest ZipOut version on the Micro Eye Web Site. If your version needs updating, you can control the update and installation process.

• Improved User Interface  ZipOut now appears in the Windows System Tray and provides quick access to ZipOut commands with the ZipOut Shortcut menu. The ZipOut Toolbar and ZipOut property page have been redesigned so that all ZipOut commands are easily available from the Outlook Explorer window.

• More control during Send  You can specify which file types are not compressed using the Send Attachments Settings dialog box, and cause ZipOut to skip compression of files less than a certain size. You can also set the name for a combined attachment instead of using the first name in the list using the ZipOut Options dialog box.

• Improved Find Attachments  ZipOut remembers Find Attachments dialog box settings and maintains a most recently used list of selected search criteria. Return results based upon simple or complex search criteria. Search by attachment name, modification date, and size, or by message subject, sender, recipient, or date received. ZipOut also lets you search for documents within Zip files as well as embedded messages, so almost all Outlook attachments are available for quick access. Once you find an attachment you're looking for you can open or print the file directly from ZipOut or open the Outlook item that contains the attachment. You can save the attachment to disk, delete the attachment, or delete the Outlook item that contains the attachment.
