Scheduled Tasks Dialog Box

The Scheduled Tasks dialog box shows you the ZipOut tasks in the Windows Scheduled Tasks folder. You can create a new task, edit a scheduled task, or change folder or store settings for the task. ZipOut Scheduled Tasks provide more robust and configurable indexing and compression compared to previous versions of ZipOut.

To Add a Scheduled Task to Manage Attachments
  1. Click the Task menu, point to New, point to Manage Attachments or press Ctrl+M
  2. Select the folders for the Manage Attachments task, then click OK.
  3. Modify the Scheduled Task using the Schedule or Settings pages of the Task dialog box if necessary, and then click OK.

Note  When you manage attachments, you can also index immediately after you compress attachments. In this case, you do not have to index attachments as a separate Scheduled Task.

To Add a Scheduled Task to Index Attachments
  1. Click the Task menu, point to New, point to Index Attachments or press Ctrl+I
  2. Select the folders for the Manage Attachments task, then click OK.
  3. Modify the Scheduled Task using the Schedule or Settings pages of the Task dialog box if necessary, and then click OK.
To Edit a Scheduled Task
  1. Double-click the Scheduled Task in the Scheduled Tasks for ZipOut list view, or select the task and click the Edit button. You can also right-click the task in the list view, and select Edit on the Shortcut menu or select Edit from the Task menu.
  2. Modify the Scheduled Task using the Schedule or Settings pages of the Task dialog box.
  3. Click OK to save changes to the Scheduled Task. Windows will display the Account Info dialog box shown below. You must supply your password in order to modify the task.

To Modify Folders or Stores for a Scheduled Task
  1. Select the task and click the Folders... button. You can also right-click the task in the list view, and select Folders... on the Shortcut menu or select Folders... on the Task menu.
  2. If you are modifying an Indexing Task, you will be able to reselect the stores for the Scheduled Task. If you are modifying a Manage Attachments Task, you will be able to reselect the stores and folders for a the Scheduled Task using  the Scheduled Task Settings dialog box shown below.
  3. Click OK to modify the Scheduled Task, or Cancel to discard your changes

 
To Delete a Scheduled Task
  1. Select the task in the list view, and click the Delete button. You can also right-click the task in the list view, and select Delete on the Shortcut menu or select Delete on the Task menu.
  2. If you confirm task deletion, you will delete the scheduled task.
To Create multiple schedules for a Scheduled Task
  1. Check the Show multiple schedules box on the Schedule page of the Task.
  2. Click the New button to create additional schedules as required. For example, the Scheduled Task shown below is scheduled to run at 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM on a daily basis.
  3. Click OK to accept your changes.
