Specifying excluded files types

Automatic compression is disabled for certain file types, including:

Additional file extensions can be added to or removed from this list by clicking the Send Settings... button on the Micro Eye ZipOut property page. ZipOut keeps a separate list of excluded extensions for attachment compression on outgoing messages or messages compressed during attachment management. To add a file type to the list displayed in the Send Attachments Settings dialog box shown below, click Add and type the extension (without the leading .) in the Input box. If the extension is registered on your system, its friendly name will appear in the list. Select an extension and click Delete to remove it from the list. Certain built-in excluded extensions cannot be deleted from the list of excluded extensions. Click OK to accept changes to the list of excluded extensions or click Cancel to discard changes.

If you check the Do not compress attachments less than box, you can enter a size value in KB that will cause ZipOut to skip compression for attachments of lesser size. For example, to skip compression of attachments that are less than 10KB (10,240 bytes), check the Do not compress attachments less than box and type 10 in the KB edit box.

Note  If you are using a FAX program that places FAX messages in your Sent Items folder, you should add the FAX extension to the list of excluded file types for outgoing messages so that ZipOut does not attempt to zip the FAX during the sending process.
