Block harmful attachments

Check the Block harmful attachments box on the ZipOut Property Page to remove attachments that are in the list of blocked file types. Click the Block Attachments button on the ZipOut Property Page to modify the list of attachment file types that will be blocked by ZipOut. By default the attachments that are blocked by ZipOut are the same as the default extensions that are blocked by the Outlook E-mail Security Update. Unlike the Outlook E-mail Security Update, ZipOut will delete a harmful attachment from the Outlook item in order to block it. The following attachments are deleted when Block harmful attachments is checked:

Important  If ZipOut is turned Off for a specific message by toggling the ZipOut command bar button, the harmful attachment will still be blocked if you send the item. Attachment blocking operates independently of the status of the ZipOut On/Off command button. If you disable ZipOut with the COM Add-ins dialog box, then attachment blocking will be turned off until you enable ZipOut by connecting the COM Add-in and checking the Block harmful attachments box.

Note  If you want to send an attachment that is blocked, you can add the file to a Zip and then attach the Zip file to your message.
