Each installed route appears as an icon below the appropriate folder in the Exchange folder tree, whether or not it is active. You can view the custom script actions installed in the selected folder in the Script Preview pane.

Selecting the Open Script in Editor toolbar button, or right clicking the script in the Folder Tree and selecting Open Script, launches the Script Editor.
When you work directly in the Script Director Script Preview pane, you can use toolbar buttons to
Cut ![]()
Copy ![]()
Paste ![]()
Insert Date/Time
The View menu also provides the option of decreasing (F6) or increasing (F7) font size for the script as a whole to improve readability.
The Agent Log toolbar button or F2 displays the log for the selected routing agent in the preferred Log Editor. You will be alerted if there are no logs for the selected agent.
The Agent Properties toolbar button displays the Creation date, Created by, Modified date, Modified by, Handler Class, and Server information. You can also press F8 to display the Agent properties dialog when the agent is selected in the Folder Tree. The events to which the agent responds and its Active status are changeable in the Agent Properties dialog. If you select OK in the Agent properties dialog, you will be prompted to save any changes that you have made for selected events and schedule timings.
Once selected, a routing agent can be deleted with the Delete agent toolbar button or by pressing the Delete key.
To display a list of all agents and their properties:
Each routing agent installed in a folder maintains a default process map. Whenever a new Workitem is created in the folder, a new process instance is created on that workitem. A workitem is basically a special instance of a CDO message object that contains a Process Instance Message or PIM. PIMs can contain either the default map created for the folder by a tool such as the Exchange Routing Wizard, or a unique map that is created by VBScript code within a custom Outlook item, for example. Such unique maps are known as Ad-hoc PIMs.
To examine the PIMs in a given folder, select the installed routing agent in the folder tree view and press F12 to view the PIM messages dialog that displays the messages in a folder. Any workitem that has a map installed by the routing engine is said to contain a PIM. If the message actually contains a PIM, it will display a RUI or Routing Unique ID. If the RUI is still zero, then a RUI has not been created on this message by the routing engine. You can also view the current row and status that indicate the state of the map for the selected PIM.
