The Script Director Installation Wizard guides you through the installation of Exchange scripting agents or Outlook forms. You can install scripts or forms to either public folders or individual mailbox folders. If the form or script is already installed, you can update an existing script or form with a newer version. You can also delete existing forms or scripts from a selection of public folders or mailboxes. Additionally, you can use the Installation Wizard to set the default permissions for a selection of folders in one simple operation. You can also cause the custom form that you install to become the default form for the selection of public folders or mailbox folders. Almost none of this functionality is available through the Exchange 5.5 Administrator program.
In order to install scripts or forms in mailboxes that you select from the GAL, the logged-on NT account under which you are running Script Director (known as the Script Director NT Account) must have at least Mailbox owner rights on each mailbox where you install scripts or forms. See the Permissions Requirements for additional details. The Installation Wizard will remind you if you omit a necessary step in the process and present a summary of your choices before you click the Finish button on the final dialog box of the Wizard. The initial dialog box of the Installation Wizard is shown below:

Select an option in the Install box to install forms or scripts in either mailboxes or public folders. If a form was selected in a mailbox folder in the Script Director folder tree, the Installation Wizard will automatically check the option for a Mailbox Folder Form. Similarly, if a script is selected in the public folder hierarchy, the Public Folder Script option will be selected automatically. If a folder node is selected in the folder tree, then the Installation Wizard defaults to Mailbox Folder Script.
Available modes are as follows:
Mailbox Folder Script
Mailbox Folder Form
Public Folder Script
Public Folder Form
If you want to delete rather than install or update a script or form, check the Run in Delete Mode box. By checking this box, you will cause the Installation Wizard to delete existing scripts or forms that match the script or form that you specify in the following steps. Use any of these features with caution since you cannot undo or recall the changes that you make with the Installation Wizard.
Click Next once you have selected the installation mode.
