Listing and Exporting Installed Agents

Script Director contains a powerful administrative feature that lets you list or export installed agents in the following locations:

Listing Installed Agents creates a dialog box with a grid containing all scripts discovered by the listing process. Exporting Installed Agents creates a comma-separated value (.csv) file that you can import into Microsoft Excel. The Agents List dialog box is shown below.

Note  The Agents List dialog box is modeless and will appear on the Windows Task Bar if you minimize it. This means that you can select a script in the grid and then click the Go To command button to navigate to the script in the Folder Tree. To continue to explore scripts, restore the Agents List dialog box from the Task bar and double-click a row in the grid or click the Go To command button to move to the next script.

If you select Public Folders in the List Installed Agents dialog box, Script Director will enumerate all scripts in the public folder hierarchy even if you do not have permission to publish scripts in a folder because you are not the owner of the folder. Be aware that listing all installed agents over a corporate public folder hierarchy can be a time-consuming process. If errors are encountered during the listing or exporting process, an entry will be written to the NT Event log or the Script Director application log. See Installation Wizard - Finish for a listing of Script Director logs and their locations.

To Export an individual Script
  1. Select the agent in the Folder List.

  2. Select the Save As command on the File menu.

  3. Click OK on the Save As dialog box.

To Send an individual Script

To View the Agents List dialog box
  1. Click the Installed Agents button or select the Agents... command from the Installed submenu of the File menu.

  2. You can rearrange the size of rows and columns in the Agents List dialog box.

  3. Click the Print button to print the grid.
